Philosophy
We believe each project is unique, presenting its own challenges. GST’s approach is to tailor each project’s design to our clientele’s specific goals and to regulatory requirements. Our designs and implementation use a results-oriented approach.
Typically, our clients have underlying goals more complex than simple regulatory compliance. Our technology often uses the critical components of risk, cash flow and time management. Correct application of our very flexible cleanup technologies is highly reliable in achieving consistent, repeatable results. Our technology has been successful with a variety of dissolved- phase organics, separate - phase organics as well as metals.
Process
Initially, a careful evaluation is made of all project data and an assessment of the remedial goals. Often, laboratory bench scale and field pilot tests are performed on larger or more complex projects to dial in site-specific dose response variables. A detailed remediation plan is then submitted to the regulating agency.
Most of our applications include a treatment train of chemical reagents designed for blending and installing at specific intervals. At the majority of sites, this approach has proven to achieve remedial goals more efficiently and reliable than inoculating the subsurface with a high dose of a single chemical, hoping for favorable results.
