In-situ chemical treatment can be performed in tight locations, treat under buildings and achieve treatment depths not amenable to other technologies. Horizontal nested wells installed under buildings can minimize or eliminate the need to enter secure buildings for monitoring or in situ remediation. Recent oxidant foam technologies can inhibit potential vapor intrusion during treatment.
In-situ chemical treatment can be applied within high hazard facilities with the proper precautions. Many successful applications have been safely performed at active petrochemical facilities, under active pipelines, tank farms and railroads.
